Who we are
Trueffle is a marketing agency operated by Roumena Kratchunova as a sole proprietor, located at 176 Rose Street North, Twin Falls, Idaho 83301, United States. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit trueffle.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. If you have questions about anything in this policy, email roumena@trueffle.com.
What we collect
We collect very little, and only what we need to run the site and stay in touch with people who ask us to.
Newsletter signups. If you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect the email address you provide and, if you choose to give it, your name. We use this only to send you the newsletter and occasional updates about Trueffle. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of every email, or by writing to roumena@trueffle.com.
Blog comments. If you leave a comment on a blog post, we collect the name and email address you enter with the comment, along with the comment itself. Your name and comment are displayed publicly; your email address is not. We may moderate, edit, or remove comments at our discretion.
Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site, including which pages are viewed, how long visitors stay, the approximate geographic region of the visit, the type of device and browser used, and the site that referred you. Google Analytics collects this through cookies and similar technologies. It does not give us your name or contact details. You can read how Google handles this data at https://policies.google.com/privacy, and you can opt out of Google Analytics across all sites by installing the browser add-on at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Information you send us directly. If you email us, we keep the correspondence so we can respond and keep a record of the conversation.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
Cookies
The site uses cookies for two purposes: to make the site function (these are set by Squarespace, our hosting platform) and to run Google Analytics. You can disable cookies in your browser settings. Doing so will not prevent you from reading the site, though some features may not work as intended.
Who processes your data
We rely on a small number of service providers to operate the site and our communications. Each of them processes data on our behalf and under their own privacy terms:
Squarespace hosts the website and manages blog comments.
Mailchimp stores newsletter subscriber lists and sends our emails.
HubSpot helps us manage contacts and correspondence.
Google Workspace provides our email and document storage.
Google Analytics provides site usage statistics.
Some of these providers operate servers in the United States and other countries. By using the site, you understand that your information may be processed in the United States.
How long we keep it
We keep newsletter subscriber information until you unsubscribe, after which it is removed from our active mailing list. Blog comments remain on the site until the post is removed or you ask us to delete your comment. Analytics data is retained according to Google's default retention settings. Email correspondence is kept for as long as it is useful to the relationship.
Your choices and rights
You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time. You can ask us to see the information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it by emailing roumena@trueffle.com, and we will respond within a reasonable time. Residents of California, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and other regions with privacy laws may have additional rights under those laws, including the right to request access, correction, deletion, or restriction of processing. We honor these requests regardless of where you live.
Children
The site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will remove it.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold, and our service providers maintain their own security programs. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Links to other sites
The site links to other websites, including client sites and third-party tools. This policy covers only trueffle.com. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of other sites.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
